  Dust off your boots, grab your crew, and get ready for the rowdiest night of the summer! Introducing the  Redneck Challenge , merging the competitive spirit of the old Businessman’s Challenge with the untamed, hilarious fun of the Redneck Races. Six business-sponsored teams will go head-to-head in a test of grit, strategy, and pure country luck. Win bragging rights, a traveling trophy, and the ultimate title of Redneck.

  Ranch Rodeos are a different kind of rodeo competition .  Local ranch teams will  gather to compete in events that are designed to test the cowboys’ skills in aspects of every day ranch life. Events including team sorting, branding, cow milking, and trailer loading are sure to provide plenty of challenges for the team and excitement for the crowd. So come on out and watch teams as they 'll have one night to compete for cash, prizes, bragging rights, and the chance to compete at the Wyoming State Fair.   

 It's cool to be cowboy. Similar to Saddle bronc riding these cowboys will mount a bucking horse with their own saddle. If you are into ranching traditions this the event for you. It's going to take more than good luck and an eight second ride for these working cowboys to go home with money in thier pockets. 

This event is all about celebrating the next generation of the Western lifestyle in a safe, educational, and family-friendly environment. It's a fun way for kids of all ages to step into the arena, challenge themselves, and learn authentic rodeo events. Whether our young cowboys and cowgirls grew up on a ranch or are stepping into the stirrups for the very first time, they are here to build confidence, responsibility, and have a lot of fun.

 Chefs call on their culinary skills as they face off against one another to prepare a spectacular grilled  meal, they will have to use all the mystery ingredients provided to them. 

The Lion's club is always coming up with new and exciting things at the Platte County Fair and this event will be no different. Like a Tractor pull but with pedal tractors, you won't want to miss the laughs and entertainment this event is sure to bring. 

 Come celebrate our deep agricultural roots, witness incredible horsemanship, and experience the adrenaline of Wyoming's favorite arena sport.  The Platte County Team Roping event returns this year on a new day, carrying on a proud tradition of local competitors.

Disgo will be charing his magic with you this year and  will have 3 shows both Thursday and Friday .

The Wheatland wrestlers invite players of all ages and skill levels to come enjoy a favorite backyard pastime to win cash prizes. Come as a player or a spectator and enjoy the competition.
